Corner Étterem★★☆☆☆Ma a kisfiammal voltam egy étteremben itt Almádiban, a Corner étteremben, és kértünk napi menüt, mert milyen jól nézett ki. Ez ilyen rántott karaj volt, sajttal töltve és hasábbal. Majd megkaptuk az ételeinket, a kisfiamé tökéletesen át volt sülve, míg az enyém ilyen pinkes volt, és amikor beleharaptam, éreztem egy utóízt, ami nem volt túl szerencsés. Ezért visszavittem az ételt, mert mondtam, hogy szerintem nincs átsütve rendesen, míg a kisfiamé igen, de nem foglalkoztak vele. Annyit mondtak, hogy ugyanazt sütötték ki a többivel is, úgyhogy sajnos nem tudnak ezzel mit kezdeni. Így hát nem adták vissza a pénzem, de nem is kértek elnézést, és többé szerintem nem is megyünk vissza ezek után, úgyhogy nem ajánlom ezt az éttermet tényleg senkinek. PIAC Kisvendéglő★★★★☆Me, my kid, and his mom are all here in Balaton. We came out last night. We went to Almádi, a place where Maria spent most of her childhood. I was looking for a restaurant, different places to eat. It's kind of pricey in this area for whatever reason, but I found one place that's not as pricey and they have great food. They have fish, chicken, and all these nice beverages. It's cool when you walk inside; it's a really nice place. I discovered it last year and always wanted to talk about it. This is here off the lake, Balatonalmádi. It's a nice walk up to it. The service is great. They hooked my son up with a free ice cream, which is so cool. You can't not like places like this. Palotai Pékség★★★★☆I'll try to keep this one short. I took my son down there. It's like a bakery that sits in a downtown area. I discovered this last year and wanted to check it out again to see if I liked it as much as I did last year. Yeah, it's pretty cool. I like the vibe. It's kind of like a coffee shop bakery, lots of different options available. I've been on this túrós batyu kick. Apparently, it's some kind of cottage cheese dessert that comes with bread around it. Every time I go to a new place, I grab one of those to see if I would like it or not. This one looked pretty good. Of course, if they have a place for my son to play, that makes it even better. I would definitely give this place a go if you're looking for a coffee spot or a place to just hang out and have something. I guess they sell pizza there too. I wasn't aware of that until now. Don Gusto Lángosozó és Pizzéria★★☆☆☆Well, I don't know where to start with this. I went down and suggested to everyone, why don't we get a pizza? We remembered this place down in the middle of town here, in this quaint town that we're in, and we ordered a pizza. I really like the Hungarian style pizza, so that's what I asked for. It has a little spice to it, that kind of thing. We got half of it that and then the other half was, what was the other half, by the way? Sonkás. So we got the Sonkás and we got this. First off, I thought it was a little bit pricey, especially compared to Budapest. But okay, I get it, it's the summertime, business, all that stuff. We ordered the pizza, brought it home, and opened it up. I was a little shocked because I'd never seen the Hungarian style pizza have egg on it. But I thought, okay, it's a new style, we'll try it. I was so disappointed. I think people should take pride in what they make. I get it. No, I don't get it. But at any rate, yeah, the pizza was disappointing. I root for all the small mom and pop businesses, but you got to do better. My son seems to like his pizza, but I think he just likes pizza in general. Pizzoli★★★★☆So where I have my storage facility, I pass by and see this row of little small fast food places. I've always wanted to stop by and get some food from there because I'm a big believer in supporting the small mom and pop shops. I think we all have to take an extra effort to do that. So I went ahead and decided to walk from the plaza down to it.
I actually found my way. They're remodeling inside, but they took my order, and I met this guy named Mike, a really cool guy. He was nice about my order. I told him I didn't really want pizza; I wanted something else. He suggested the pasta, and I said, let's go for that. So he gave me a bolognese pasta, and their grandmother or mother, I don't want to say, came over and brought me my drink and my beer. I got a Heineken.
Then I went and got my food. I have to tell you, the pasta was to perfection, really good. You know, you can overcook it pretty easily, and you can undercook it pretty easily. They cooked it perfectly. It was a nice portion, by the way. You can tell by the pictures, nice portion. And it was delicious, really was. I can't wait to go back and try their pizza now. Reptér Büfé★★★★★So, in case you don't know, here in Budapest, there's this forest walk on the Buda side. If you check out some of my other posts, you'll see that. One of the coolest parts of the forest walk is at the end; there's an airfield, right? But it's a grass airfield. Very occasionally, they have planes out here. Well, today they had this.
There's also a restaurant, but it's kind of like a bar. They give you beer and stuff. You sit outside, and it's really nice. If you're looking for a place that's not on the tourist path, definitely come down this route and check this out. Let them know I sent you.
