Terms

Last updated: 20 August 2026

These Terms govern your use of Dafado, a voice review service operated by Rayofla Kft. By recording a review, claiming a place, replying to a review, or otherwise using dafado.com, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The short version: your voice stays yours. You give us permission to host it, transcribe it, and publish it as a review. You can ask us to take it down at any time. Say true things, say them about a place you actually visited, and do not record other people without their permission.

1. Who we are

Dafado is operated by Rayofla Kft. (Rayofla Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság), registered in Hungary, tax number 27976971-2-43, seat at 1093 Budapest, Közraktár utca 12/B, 3. em. 2.

2. What Dafado is

Dafado lets a guest record a short spoken review of a place, usually by scanning a code at the place. The recording is transcribed so it can be read as well as heard, and may be published as a public review page. A verified place owner can reply in their own voice.

Dafado is a platform. We host and publish reviews; we do not write them and we do not vouch for them.

3. Recording a review

When you record a review, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18, or you have permission from a parent or legal guardian;
  • the voice in the recording is yours, and any other person you recorded has agreed to it;
  • your review is your honest opinion of a place you actually visited or dealt with;
  • you were not paid or rewarded by the place to leave it, unless you say so in the recording;
  • the recording contains nothing unlawful, and nothing that infringes anyone else’s rights;
  • any photo you add is yours to share, and we may read available capture date and location details to suggest visit information and support the selected place;
  • n

  • a past experience includes at least one original photo, has no star rating, does not affect the place’s current rating, and does not appear in Discover.

You do not need an account to record a review. You do need one to publish it. Recording is open to anyone and we never ask for your email at the microphone. But we do not make any review public until the person who recorded it has confirmed an email address, because a published review names a real business and can affect it. See section 5.

4. What you allow us to do

You keep ownership of your recording. You are not selling it to us and you are not giving it away.

You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, transcribe, translate, adapt for format and length, publish, and distribute your recording and its transcript, for the purpose of operating Dafado and showing reviews of the places people review. This includes showing your review on its own review page, showing it on a public page for the place you reviewed alongside other people’s reviews of that place, and allowing others to share a link to either page.

This licence lasts while your recording is on Dafado. It ends when the recording is removed, except for copies already made by third parties, which we cannot recall.

We do not use your voice to build voiceprints, to identify you biometrically, or to train AI models.

5. Publication and removal

When you record, you are asked to agree to one specific line: “Share my review publicly on Dafado so people can find it.” You cannot submit a review without agreeing to it. Publication is the intended outcome, not an exception: your review gets its own page and also appears on a public page for the place you reviewed, and both can be indexed by search engines. This happens whether or not the place is a Dafado customer.

Agreeing to that line is your permission to publish, but it is not the last step. We do not publish a review until the person who recorded it has confirmed an email address. After you submit, we send you a link; opening it confirms the address and your review goes live. Until then your review is not public, and it is not on the place’s page.

If you never confirm, we delete the recording within 30 days. You do not have to ask, and we do not keep a copy.

You can ask us to remove your recording at any time by emailing privacy@dafado.com. If it has not been published we delete it. If it has been published we unpublish the page, remove your voice from the place page, and delete the recording. If you have an account you can also delete any of your own reviews yourself, at any time, from your profile, or delete your account and everything in it from your settings.

For 24 hours after publication, the signed-in author may replace the spoken audio up to two times. The current version remains public until the replacement is processed. The photos, place, visit evidence, publication date, and public link remain unchanged. Deletion is unavailable while a replacement is processing.

n

We may also remove or refuse to publish any recording, at our discretion, if we believe it breaks these Terms or the law.

6. Place owners

If you claim a place, you confirm that you own it or are authorised to act for it, and that the evidence you give us is truthful. We may approve or refuse a claim at our discretion, and may withdraw approval if a claim turns out to be false.

As a verified owner you may reply to reviews of your place in your own voice. Replies are published alongside the review. You are responsible for what you say in them.

You must not:

  • record reviews of your own place, or ask staff, friends, or family to;
  • offer payment, discounts, or rewards in exchange for a positive review;
  • pressure a guest to record, remove, or change a review;
  • use Dafado to suppress criticism, or to punish a guest for an honest review.

Reviews belong to the guests who recorded them. Claiming a place does not give you ownership of, or an editorial veto over, its reviews. It gives you a right of reply.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Dafado to record or publish anything that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, deceptive, or a breach of someone’s privacy or intellectual property. Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the service. Do not submit fake reviews, whether for or against a place.

8. Transcripts and translations

Automated transcripts and translations can contain mistakes. The public page shows a readable transcript, while eligible paid access may show the unedited transcript for comparison. Where text and recording differ, the recording is the primary source. We are not liable for errors in an automated transcript or translation.

9. Reporting a problem

If you believe a review is unlawful, infringes your rights, or should not be published, email abuse@dafado.com with enough detail to identify it and the reason. We will review it and act where appropriate.

10. Availability

We aim to keep Dafado available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it. We may need to take it down for maintenance.

11. Our content

The Dafado name, logo, design, and software are ours and are protected by law. These Terms do not give you any right to use them beyond using the service as intended.

12. Disclaimer

Reviews on Dafado are the opinions of the people who recorded them. They are not our statements and we do not endorse or verify them. Dafado is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or reputation.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim connected with Dafado is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, or EUR 100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from a recording or reply you submitted, or from your breach of these Terms or the law.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Hungarian law, and the courts of Hungary have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and may bring proceedings there.

16. Disputes

If something goes wrong, please email us first at hello@dafado.com. Most problems are quicker to fix by talking. We ask that you give us 30 days to resolve a complaint informally before starting formal proceedings.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms. The updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date, and applies from the date it is posted. Your consent record stores the version of the Terms you agreed to at the time you recorded.
